4 years of BWH

At the end of this month, Bodyworks Hastings will be 4 years old. This time 4 years ago, I was coming to the end of an insane 9 months of that was a mixture of work and furlough, online training, homeschooling the kids and in college (very restricted) training.

Covid qualifications... wild.

Going back to college at 38 was very different, being in a class of mostly teenage boys who didn't really want to be there was at times infuriating! And taking the 1st exam I'd sat since doing my A levels 20 years previous! But it gave me the base from where I could do all the other qualifications and gain all the experience that have gotten me to this point. The point where its no longer just me, we're forming a little team of therapists, currently offering 5 different types of massage in one place! Yes it was hard, but it was so worth it.

2 weeks after getting my certificate I was insured and renting a space in a local spa. If I hadn't jumped straight in I'd have procrastinated and taken an age to get started.

That is my biggest take from the last 4 years; done is better than perfect, don't wait.

In the 4 years of business I've seen almost 900 clients, some super interesting people have come through the door (a couple of famous ones too), with some super interesting stories. Most of which I can't tell you!
