To CBD or not to CBD. That is the question...

If you've been into see me in the last few months, I've probably asked you if you want CBD or not CBD when you're chosing oil.

I l❤️ve CBD but it's not for everyone!

So let's look st the pros and cons but also who it's definitely NOT for.

CBD. The pros.

Our CBD is blended locally, it's base oil is grapeseed and the only other ingredients are CBD isolates and hemp oil (used to dissolve the isolates) It's super clean and completely vegan too. The combination of the 2 oils feels so luxurious!

It's hemp based, meaning there isn't (and never has been) any THC. For those worried about addiction historically, fear not, I got you.

The benefits of CBD are wide reaching but in relation to the work I do they are within things like

• Pain relief

• Better sleep

• Reduction in inflammation

The effects of a massage with CBD oil can be pretty immediate, and can last for hours at all time. Giving your body some much needed time to do something other than be in fight or flight! Don't shower straight after a massage, any residual oil will be drawn in to the skin over time.

CBD. The cons.

As with anything, there can be side effects to using CBD.

The mains ones being

• Drowsiness

• Low BP

• Dry mouth

CBD does interact with a few medications, so it's even more important than ever that you tell me your med list and keep it updated!

With most of the interactions it creates a reduction in efficacy, so opioid based pain meds won't work as well as they should (however, the cbd can reduce pain so...)

But the main one for us here, because several clients are taking it, is levothyroxine.

CBD is NOT for you if you're on this med as it can cause the drug to build up in and cling to your liver. Not a good idea!

Overall I absolutely believe this to be beneficial to most people, but not everyone, and we can make that decision together.
